CRAFT: Shibori is an archaic Japanese technique of resist dying to embellish a fabric. Shibori is to Japan what bandhani is to India. It is a skilful art of tying and dying fabric that produces an array of wondrous surface designs. Shibori is derived from word Shiboru which literally means "to wring, squeeze and press" and that's how the fabric is played around by folding, twisting, crumpling and plucking, creating resist shaped patterns.
